At Doha College we see Art education as a multi-faceted area of human interest and enquiry, encompassing all forms of visual communication. We are keen to establish a broad range of working practices which currently include drawing, painting, mixed-media, sculpture, digital photography and digital video work. We encourage students to explore a range of ideas and materials with a clear focus on skills acquisition.

We are also keen to ensure that all students are aware of the central importance of direct observational studies in the development of their creativity and personal viewpoint. In all years, projects are thematically based and supported by appropriate reference to key art historical contexts. We believe that for all students, successful outcomes are invariably underpinned by sound knowledge and understanding.
